A virus was sent to me in the form of a link on my messenger earlier this week and stupidly I opened it. Now it sends out the same message to everyone on line and constantly pulls out a "Spy Spotter" pop-up which appears about every three minutes! Does anyone know how to get rid of this f**ing thing?

I dont know how to remove it but most of my friends have it and it keeps trying to send me a link. The link I got was to UltraDDL. But I know better;)

i know for a fact what happened the owner of ultraddl my freind was asked to host a small file not knowing what it wa she was told it was a messanger patch, when my freind saw it was onlt 5kb or whatever he ask if it was a virus and the guy said no so ultra just left it then he got about 50000 hate mails about it so he deleted it straight away and he asked the guy why di you lie and he just said i dident it was a trogen. like i said i know ultralord he is a very nice person thats whay he hosted the file is actual site is a warez site running kddl and this trogen is used for ddosing certain servers one of which was he freids server katz.

i dont know if you wll belive me but that is what ultra told me and iv known him long enough to know that he hates things like this

i got one that popped up as an instant message it said "this is you" and a whole bunch of other stuff but now i cant run my virus scan

i have the same f**cking proble as ahsley. i clicked it and it downloaded something and now my messenger keeps sending the same msg by itself!!!! damn fren send it to me and i stupid ly open it... i tried uninstallin msn messenger and re-installing it but nothing worked... i so pissed off with it... can any body help me?

format your hard drive - re install windows... i know thats a long way around but nobody seems to know how to "fix" it so thats what i would do... but i dont go n click on them in the first place so maybe you wouldnt do the same as me! it sucks one of my mates got the one that says is this you "link" but it wouldnt work on my computer luckyil ( i got vista ) it somehow totally fucked up her computer i dont know how but hers wont even turn on! :( thats a bit nasty... whoever made that i would like to give a great big slap whats the fuckin pojnt in that? wasting thouasands of pounds of poeples computers and most ppl on msn are kids how the fuck are they meant to afford to fix it?!?! lol

n e way i better stop blabbering good luck sorting it out poeple!!!

Download a free product called "HighJackThis" What it does is looks at the registry and finds things that shouldnt be there and gives you a list. Read the short directions and it will tell you which ones (with headers) can be deleted and that will probably fix it. For starters - if your unsure of this due to its name..LOL...read the forums associated with it. You'll find out its a great tool used by many novices and professionals. Gary

I got this msn virus or something on my hotmail messenger,
some one on my contact list started a conversation with me sent me a bunch of little bats like little pictures I thought nothing of it then when I was typing back thats when my msn crashed the since that day I thought it was my computer so i went to a internet cafe and opened my msn there and it did the same thing now im on a friends computer and it still dont work it just crashes when I open it but his is working fine.. can someone please help
